Famous Temples of Chattisgarh

Chhattisgarh is known for its natural beauty and cultural heritage as well as its ancient and famous temples. The temples here not only have religious significance, but are also wonderful examples of historical and architectural art. Some of the major temples are –

1. Mahamaya Temple (Ratanpur) – This Shaktipeeth dedicated to Maa Mahamaya is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites in Chhattisgarh.

2. Bamleshwar Temple of Dongargarh – Situated on the top of the hill, both stairs and ropeway are used to reach here.

3. Rajiv Lochan Temple (Rajim) – Ancient temple of Lord Vishnu, famous for its unique sculpture and Triveni Sangam.

4. Chandi Temple (Champaran) – Located near the birthplace of Saint Vallabhacharya, this temple dedicated to Mata Chandi is a center of devotion.

5. Bhoramdev Temple (Kabir Dham) – Built in Khajuraho style, this temple is called "Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh" due to its carvings and beautiful architecture.
